Honeydew User Guide

Welcome to Honeydew! This guide will walk you through using the app, from signing up to creating and managing tasks and rewards.

1. Sign Up & Onboarding

1. Open the Honeydew app on your device or visit the web app.
2. Sign up with your email and password
3. Verify your email if prompted (check your inbox for a verification link).
4. Complete your profile by entering your name and selecting your role

2. Pairing With Your Partner

1. After signing up, you’ll be prompted to pair with your partner.
2. Share your unique pairing code or link with your partner, or enter the code they provide.
3. Once paired, you’ll both have access to your shared household dashboard.
4. (Optional) If you want to explore the app first, you can skip pairing and use Demo Mode.

3. Navigating the Dashboard

• The dashboard is your home base. Here you’ll see:
  • Tasks: To-dos for you and your partner
  • Groceries: Shared shopping list
  • Rewards: Fun incentives you can earn
  • Points: Track your progress
• Use the bottom or side navigation to switch between tabs.

4. Creating Tasks

1. Go to the Tasks tab.
2. Click the “Add Task” button (+).
3. Enter the task name, details, and (optionally) assign it to yourself or your partner.
4. Set a point value for the task (how much it’s worth).
5. Click “Save” to add the task to your household list.

5. Completing Tasks

1. When you finish a task, tap the checkbox next to it.
2. The task will be marked as complete, and you’ll earn the assigned points.

6. Creating Rewards

1. Go to the Rewards tab.
2. Click the “Add Reward” button (+).
3. Enter a reward name and set the number of points needed to redeem it (1–100).
4. Click “Save” to add the reward.

7. Redeeming Rewards

1. When you have enough points, tap the “Redeem” button on a reward.
2. Confirm redemption. Your points will be deducted, and the reward will be marked as redeemed.

8. Using Demo Mode

• If you skipped pairing, you can explore all features in Demo Mode.
• Add, complete, and redeem up to 3 demo tasks and rewards.
• Pair with your partner at any time to start using the full app.

9. Settings & Profile

• Access settings from the menu (top right or left).
• Update your profile, pair/decouple, or log out.
